A wonderful and rare example of antique late 19c metalwork from the Kashmir region of Northern India. Of unusually large size, this intricately detailed multi lobed form tray or wall hanging is made from copper and then originally silver plated. The piece has been all hand “repoussé” worked, alongside piercing and final detail on the front surface, resulting in incredibly fine detail. A very rare survivor and a certain talking piece!
