A stunning and increasingly rare example of this highly versatile cabinet comprising at the top a fall front with adjustable shelf and storage above a two door cupboard with adjustable shelf, over a single full width drawer, perfect for a cocktail drinks cabinet, bureau or general storage in any room , all set upon it’s original castors. Constructed with superbly figured solid Elm throughout and the hallmark visible dovetail joints to top and sides.
Ercol in their 1956 brochure described it like this;-
"The latest development of the Ercol solid Elm serving cabinet is even more useful. It has been enlarged and mounted on semi concealed castors. It can be wheeled close to the dining table at meal times for handy serving, or it can act as a room divider. Notice the refinement of the sculptured wood handles. A roomy top cupboard accommodates breakfast, dinner and tea services. When open it acts as a serving flap, strong enough for carving. The large two door cupboard has an adjustable shelf. At the base is a long deep drawer"
