A very large and impressive antique circa 1900/1910 Chinese Canton area floor standing vase, with probably the most detailed and densely decorated finish we have seen in a vase of this origin and era. With large gilded Salamanders and double Foo Dog depictions set upon a Famille Rose background of life scenes and floral décor. The rarer models of these vases feature decoration on the inside of the vase neck and here we have wonderful butterflies. This is a stunning example of its’ kind, it is very heavy and complete with a lovely six character Chinese base mark.
